9 Must-Visit Tapas Spots in Sevilla

When it comes to tapas, Sevilla doesn’t play around. The city lives and breathes these tiny bites—each one a perfect excuse to linger a little longer over a cold beer or a glass of fino.

This list was curated by Álvaro de la Viña of Selections de la Viña, a Sevilla native who knows these streets like the back of his hand. After a blistering 110-degree day, Álvaro took us on an epic late-night tapas crawl through the heart of his city—and these nine spots are the ones we’ll be talking about (and craving) for years to come.

1. Bar Casa Vizcaíno

📍 C. Feria, 27

Some say this spot pours the coldest beer in Sevilla. We’d argue it’s the coldest beer in Spain—period. Order a round, grab a couple of gildas, and soak up the buzz of this neighborhood tavern that feels exactly as a local bar should.

2. Taberna Zurbarán

📍 Pl. Zurbarán, 2

This cozy taberna pairs Moorish vibes with the holy trinity: beer, vermut, and sherry. Don’t miss their tortilla española or the smoky pincho morunos. It’s the kind of place where one drink turns into three before you know it.

3. Taberna Manolo Cateca

📍 C. Sta. María de Gracia, 13

A classic stand-up-and-move-on spot. The single bathroom with just a urinal says it all—this place is for quick pit stops, not lingering. Order the Huevos a la Flamenca—a lifesaver if you’re nursing last night’s flamenco-fueled hangover.

4. Bodeguita Blanco Cerrillo

📍 C. José de Velilla, 1

Sevillanos flock here for fried fish and ice-cold beers that hit different on a hot day. Try a few things off the bar, but don’t skip the pescaditos en adobo—lightly marinated, perfectly fried, and dangerously snackable.

5. Bodega La Mina

📍 Cta. del Rosario, 7

If the snails are in season, you know what to do. If not, their montaditos (mini sandwiches) are the real deal—simple, satisfying, and made for washing down with a cold one.

6. Bar Alfalfa

📍 C. Candilejo, 1

Classic Sevilla vibes—tiny tables, plates of croquetas and jamón flying out of the kitchen. You’ll squeeze in elbow-to-elbow with locals and tourists alike, all here for the same reason: proper tapas.

7. Restaurante Flor de Toranzo

📍 C. Jimios, 1

This spot is proof that masterful gastronomy doesn’t need white tablecloths—just good ingredients and people who care. Their montaditos are next level: try the duck pâté, the pork lomo with apple, and yes—anchovies with sweetened condensed milk. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it.

8. Bodeguita Antonio Romero

📍 Antonia Díaz, 5

A quick drink, a quick bite, and you’re on to the next. Get the Piripi—a warm little sandwich stuffed with bacon, tomato, and mayo. Basically Spain’s answer to a BLT (hold the lettuce).

9. Bodega Santa Cruz La Columnas

📍 C. Rodrigo Caro, 1

No list of Sevilla tapas bars is complete without this old-school favorite. Cold fino, salty jamón, and chilled gambas—don’t forget to suck the heads, it’s where all the flavor is. Trust us.
